Meatless balls & Spaghetti

Ingredients
- Spaghetti (to serve)
Meatless balls:
- 415 g can of nutmeat (Vegie delights)
- 140 g apple puree
- 1 tablespoon of dry mixed herbs
- ½ cup dry breadcrumbs
- Salt & pepper to season
Sauce:
- 700g passata
- 1 tablespoon rice malt (or you could use agave)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry basil
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- Pinch of pepper
- Chili flakes for heat (optional)
Instructions
Meatless balls:
- Preheat oven to 180oC. Lightly oil a baking tray
- Put nutmeat through a food processor to create a mince
- Tip into large bowl & add all other ingredients & use your hands to combine
- Roll small portions in your hand to create meatless balls
- Place on the tray & bake for 30 minutes occasionally moving about
- Make sauce
Sauce:
- Stir together the passata, salt, pepper, rice malt, basil and oregano (& chili flakes) in a saucepan & heat gently over a low to medium heat
- Add meatless balls to keep warm
- Cook spaghetti to packet instructions, serve with meatless balls & sauce
