String beans and lentils

Ingredients
- ⅓ cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons caster sugar
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 425g can of lentils, drained & rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 250g – 300g string beans, ends trimmed off
- Chilli sauce to taste (I used teaspoon of SUPER hot chilli sauce)
- 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
- 2 teaspoons crushed ginger
- 2 spring onion (optional: more to garnish)
Instructions
- Mix hoisin sauce, vinegar, sugar & pepper in a small bowl
- Add 1 tablespoon of sauce to lentils, stir through & sit to one side
- Add the olive oil & sesame oil to a wok over a high heat
- Toss through beans for 3-4 minutes until bright green & begin to char. Transfer to a bowl, cover to keep warm & sit to one side
- Add chilli sauce & lentil mix to wok & heat through
- Add garlic, ginger & onions
- Stir through remaining sauce with 2 tablespoons of water, mix to combine
- Return beans to wok and heat through
- Serve with rice. Optional: garnish with spring onion stalks
